Dress Code

Ivy Academia is an entrepreneurial school with a professional dress code. If financial concerns preclude the purchase of dress code attire, please discuss with administration so that arrangements can be made to assist.

Each student is a representative of Ivy Academia in the eyes of the public. Each student is expected to report to school properly groomed and wearing appropriate clothing.  Students TK-8 wear formal attire on designated days throughout the month and when there are special events. Students who report to school inappropriately dressed will be asked to have acceptable attire brought to them or to change into attire in the office and will be subject to disciplinary action.

Dress clothes may be found at many stores including Target, Wal-Mart, Sears, JCPenney, Children’s Place, Dennis, or various online retailers including Amazon. Clothing should be appropriate for young people without references to vulgarity or controlled substances.

Head Coverings: Those worn for religious or safety reasons ae always allowed. Hats are appropriate for all if plain in color and free of any graphics but for the Ivy Academia Logo.

Daily WearNavy, light blue, or white collared; shirt or long or short sleeved for tops and well-fitting black, navy, khaki, or jeans without rips or holes are appropriate. Leggings are not appropriate. Closed-toed shoes are required for student safety.

Formal and Event Wear: Tucked in white or blue oxford style dress shirt (long or short sleeved), any school appropriate tie or bow tie, with navy, or black professional pants.

Gently Used Clothing: Used clothing in good condition may be donated to other students or dropped off at the main office and may be requested from the main office at any time.

Outerwear: No outerwear with a hood may be worn on campus at any time other than during a rainy day when a rubber or vinyl raincoat with a hood is appropriate. All outerwear (crewneck sweatshirts, sweaters, vests, cardigans, blazers, etc.) are to be navy blue or gray with no graphic printing other than Ivy Academia lettering. Ivy Academia spirit outerwear in any color is acceptable. Umbrellas are encouraged and storage will be provided for them on rainy days.

Puma Pride Day (Weekly on Friday): Any Puma Pride top is appropriate. Students may choose to wear regular dress code tops if they so choose.

PE Clothes (Students TK-8): Elementary students will not change for PE. Middle School students will be required to dress in school appropriate athletic attire for their P.E. period when directed so by their P.E teacher. Lightweight short sleeved shirts, mid-thigh or longer length shorts, and athletic shoes are the best choices for P.E. attire for Middle School students.
